This two-day course is designed to provide participants with the latest information on critical incident stress management techniques with an emphasis on managing complex cases such as those involving a line of duty death or member suicide. The advanced group crisis intervention training builds on the knowledge which was obtained through the three-day peer support and group crisis intervention course. At the conclusion of this course, participants will have been exposed to specific, proven strategies to intervene with those suffering the ill effects of their exposure to trauma.

This course is designed for first responders (fire, EMS, and law enforcement), Employee Assistance Program (EAP) practitioners, chaplains, and health care professionals who are already trained in the critical incident stress debriefing format. It will also be useful for those working extensively with traumatized victims for various walks of life. This course requires previous training and experience and/or completion of the three-day PFFW Charitable Foundation Peer Support and Group Crisis Intervention Class.

For additional information or questions, please contact Kristen Herreid (kristen@pffwcf.org) at 262-949-4346.
