Doc Schneider Memorial Scholarship for Burn Survivors
Help Support the Doc Schneider Memorial Scholarship for Burn Survivors
Join us in celebrating the remarkable legacy of Doc Schneider, a beacon of compassion and dedication in the realm of burn care. For over thirty years, Doc served as the Medical Director and chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Mary's Hospital, where his tireless efforts touched the lives of countless Burn Center patients. However, it was in his involvement with the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation's Summer Camp for Burn Injured Youth, formerly known as the Wisconsin Alliance for Fire Safety, where Doc's profound impact truly shone.
As a founding member and patriarch for over two decades, Doc poured his heart into providing a haven for burn survivors, offering them not just medical care but also a sense of belonging, support, and joy. He understood the healing power of community and fun, and he made it his mission to ensure that every burn survivor felt embraced and empowered.
In loving memory of Doc and in honor of his unwavering commitment, we have established the Doc Schneider Memorial Scholarship for Burn Survivors. This scholarship is a testament to Doc's enduring legacy, aimed at continuing his mission of support for burn survivors. It is open to any individual who has participated in one or more of our Burn Survivor Support Programs, including Burn Camp, Young Adult Leadership Retreat, and Phoenix World Burn Congress.
Your donation to the Doc Schneider Memorial Scholarship will directly impact the lives of burn survivors, providing them with opportunities for education, growth, and healing. Together, let's carry forward Doc's vision of compassion and support for those who have faced the challenges of burn injuries. Donate today and help us ensure that Doc's legacy of caring lives on.
