Help Honor the Memory of Tom Diener. Support Carter Haen and Robbie Betts.
With the permission of the families, this is the official donation page for Tom, Carter, and Robbie.
On December 11, 2025, our lives changed forever.
While traveling for work related to public safety and emergency warning systems, Tom Diener, Carter Haen, and Robbie Betts were involved in a tragic highway incident in Indiana.
Tom Diener lost his life as a result of the crash. Tom was a dedicated firefighter, volunteer public servant, and business owner whose work focused on protecting communities through emergency warning systems. His loss is profound and is felt deeply by his family, friends, coworkers, and the fire service communities he proudly served as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Oshkosh Fire Department and a Lieutenant with the Town of Sheboygan Fire Department.
Carter Haen and Robbie Betts sustained serious injuries and were transported to a trauma center in South Bend, Indiana, where they received emergency medical care. Both are now in stable condition but face a long and challenging road to recovery, including ongoing medical treatment, rehabilitation, and lost income.
Tom and Carter were co-owners of Sheboygan Warning Systems, a Wisconsin-based company dedicated to installing and maintaining emergency warning sirens that help protect communities throughout the Midwest. Robbie worked closely alongside them and was part of their professional team. All three also shared a commitment to public service through the fire service. Carter Haen is a firefighter with the Town of Sheboygan Fire Department, and Robbie Betts was a member of the Town of Sheboygan Fire Department.
This donation page has been established through the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation to:
- Support Tom Diener’s family during this unimaginable loss
- Assist Carter Haen and Robbie Betts with medical and recovery-related needs
- Honor the lives, service, and friendship of all three men
Any funds received beyond immediate family and survivor needs will be used to establish a memorial or scholarship in Tom Diener’s name, ensuring his dedication to public safety, service, and community continues to have a lasting impact.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
