Helping Meng Kue’s Family After Tragic Loss

With the family's permission, this is the official support page for Meng Kue. Meng was a dedicated and resilient employee of Bell Ambulance since November 2020. Eager to start his career, Meng quickly excelled and was advancing in his role within months of starting.

On December 7th, 2021, a sudden tragedy struck Meng and his family. While on a call and rendering aid in the back of a Bell Ambulance on the side of the road, a Milwaukee County transit bus struck the ambulance at a high rate of speed. The collision critically injured Meng, leaving him unable to work and facing an uncertain and prolonged recovery. Unsure what the future would hold, Meng showed incredible determination, enduring a lengthy recovery, years of doctor appointments, and various extensive therapy sessions to eventually return to full duty. Throughout his recovery, Meng demonstrated remarkable resolve to overcome every obstacle, consistently maintaining the positive attitude of "I'm just Thankful to be here," even when facing significant challenges. Meng carried that forward-facing attitude and positivity with him each day he was at work. Meng was a friend to all who encountered him and a leader on calls and around the station.

On January 15th, 2026, Meng’s life was tragically cut short. While Meng was returning home after his shift, his vehicle was struck by a reckless driver. Despite the life-saving efforts of first responders, Meng was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Meng's sudden passing has created a devastating void for his wife and young family, as well as those who knew and loved him in the community and at Bell Ambulance. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Meng was a proud and dedicated member of Bell Ambulance, eager to serve the community he loved. We are seeking support through Network for Good to assist his loved ones as they face this period of profound grief and the unexpected financial burden brought on by his funeral and burial as well as the future financial uncertainty his untimely death brings.
